Breytenbachs have good news for applicants who wish to apply for Spouse/Unmarried Partner and Dependent Visas for the Isle of Man.
If you are married to or in a relationship with a British passport holder and you are planning to relocate to the Isle of Man, it’s crucial to understand the specific visa requirements and regulations that apply, especially the financial requirements.
The good news is that, despite the Isle of Man’s association with the UK, it follows its own set of immigration rules.
For a spouse or unmarried partner visa, applicants must meet specific financial criteria to ensure they can support themselves and their dependents without recourse to public funds.
Notably, the Isle of Man has retained the financial requirements for spouse/unmarried partner and dependent visas under the old UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) rules.
Financial Requirements for Family Visa Applications – specific figures
The financial requirement for these visas is currently set at £18,600 in gross annual income per year in the name of the British passport holder or applicant (if they are in the UK with permission to work), an additional £3,800 for the first child; and an additional £2,400 for each additional child; alone or in combination with specified savings of £16,000; and additional savings of an amount equivalent to 2.5 times the amount which is the difference between the gross annual income from the different sources.
Since the Isle of Man adheres to the previous UKVI financial thresholds, applicants should ensure that they meet these criteria to facilitate a smooth application process.
